Abstract

|
Daebangpoongtang has been widely used in disease of arthritis, which is based on the Oriental Medicinal References. In order to investigate the clinical effects of them and validate its oriental medical theory, these experiments were undertaken by being carried with animal experiment. We worked on the analgesic effect,
anti-inflammatory effect, anti-pyretic effect and other effects of Daebangpoongtang.
The following results have been obtained:
1) Recognized the inhibition effect of Daebangpoongtang on writhing syndrome
2) Recognized the analgesic effect of Daebangpoongtang on pressure pain threshold of rat hind paws
3) Recognized the anti-inflammatory effect of Daebangpoongtang on carrageenin edema of the rat hind paws.
4) Recognized the effect of Daebangpoong-tang on the leukocyte emigration into the CMC, air-pouch of rats.
5) Recognized the antipyretic effect of Daebangpoong-tang on the typhoid vaccine febrile rats.
According to the above results, efficacy based on the Oriental Medicinal References were approximate to the actually experimental results.
